PCH SCUBA is more than just a place to learn to dive.  Sure, we do SCUBA training, but when you join our community, you get much more than just a  dive education.

Don’t misunderstand, we love our local dive shops.  However, we believe that we provide something wholly different than the typical dive shop experience.  Some of those differences include:

Student to Instructor Ratios- We always have at least one instructor for every three students, and always provide two instructors for any ocean dives.     

Gear Purchasing- With us, you are never required to buy ANY gear prior to your class.  After your initial education is complete, we will help you to choose gear that is best suited for you should you decide to purchase it.

Dive Experience-  All training dives are conducted either on Catalina Island or from a local dive boat. No beach diving ever during your initial training.  

Continued Opportunity- We have one weekend a month in Catalina and eight dive boats a year all hosted by the same individuals that taught you to dive.  Not only do you have numerous opportunities for continuing education, perhaps more importantly you have CONSTANT mentoring when you are diving with us. Whether in a structured course or just diving for fun, we are always available to help offering guidance and support.  And this happens in any of 20 weekends throughout the year.  And it is not just about us instructors.  The real strength of our community lies within the alumni themselves.  They come back and share their experiences with the newer divers. They keep the new divers encouraged and safe.  We all benefit by a growing sense of what makes our community distinct from the world as a whole.  If this is something that sounds appealing to you, give us a try.  We will do everything possible not to disappoint.
