I took my first breaths underwater in 2000. I was in Mexican waters, just off the coast of San Diego, CA. I’m not sure which it was that really hooked me: The 100+ foot visibility? The fact that I was actually breathing underwater? The baby sea lion, who so gracefully (and patiently) escorted me down the anchor line? It didn’t matter! I was hooked!
In 2003 I began my dive career. I completed the Los Angeles County Advanced Diver Program (ADP), and in 2004 had completed Instructor Certifications with Los Angeles County, NAUI and PADI.
Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to dive with Whale Sharks in Belize and Utila, Drift and Cavern Dive in Cozumel. I’ve been to Aruba, Curacao, Fiji, and of course, lots of diving in Southern California. Taking up Scuba Diving has proven to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I consider it a gift to be able to share these experiences with others.
